Throughout 2019 our team here at Simrell Media flexed our creative muscles with digital campaigns, traditional media, web projects and graphic design work. While we’re equally proud of each project, some of our work stands out from the crowd — literally. Just a few weeks ago at the American Advertising Awards (or the ADDY’s…) our team was recognized with a Silver Award for website design & development.
The ADDY’s is one of the industry's largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 35,000 professional and student entries each year starting at the regional level. The event was held at the Woodlands, starting with a cocktail hour in a space that was transformed into a gallery—submitted creative work was displayed throughout the room and followed with the award show.
Bailey Simrell, agency partner and digital director, and Anna Layaou, digital content director, represented our agency at the event. Both were thrilled and humbled to accept an award in the category of Consumer Website for CarriageBarnAcademy.com.
Carriage Barn Academy is an early childhood school based in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Bailey, our web developer, wanted to create a smooth, classy user experience while keeping the content front and center. Here is a look at the project:
And hats-off to all creatives, agencies, and students who submitted their work this year at the American Advertising Awards.
